Advanced Open Water

Exploration, Excitement, Experiences. That’s what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. And no, you don’t have to be advanced to do it. It’s designed so you can go straight into it after the Open Water Diver course.

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your Professional Instructor.

This course builds on what you have already learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.

What you will learn:

  • Practical aspects of deep diving
  • Physiological effects of deeper scuba diving
  • More ways to use your underwater compass
  • How to navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time
  • And much, much more, depending on the Adventure Dives you choose

Course Pre-requisites:

  • 15 years old (12 years for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
  • Have a PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent

Flexible Day Trips Course

 Completed on any scheduled GBR and Yongala Wreck Day Trip

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Student Manual Pack or eLearning online (book your eLearning access upfront here)
  • 5 training dives such as Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Naturalist,Wreck and Deep Adventure Dives.
  • Certification Costs

Extras:

  • 1 Great Barrier Reef Day Trip, where you will complete 3 Adventure Dives such as Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Underwater Naturalist.
  • 1 Yongala Wreck Day Trip, where you will complete 2 Adventure Dives – Wreck and Deep.
  • Equipment Hire

Course Dates:

Start Today! The Flexible Advanced Open Water Course is a flexible course that you can start and complete whenever it suits you. Day trips to the Great Barrier Reef are scheduled for Tuesday’s, Thursday’s, Friday’s and Sunday’s (Monday’s in high season June – October). And day trips to the Yongala Wreck are scheduled for Wednesday’s and Saturday’s. All you need to do is tell us which days you would like to complete your course, it’s as easy as that! Liveaboard Course

Completed on any scheduled liveaboard trip
INCLUSIONS:

  • 2 day or 3 day Liveaboard Dive Trip

The Liveaboard Advanced Open Water Course is completed on any of our scheduled Liveaboard trips. But, you can start today! Once you have made your booking you may come in store and collect your student Manual (or we can send it to you in the mail) book your eLearning access here .
