Whether you’re a diver or not, you never know when first aid skills may come in handy. Learning how to cope in an emergency situation isn’t being pessimistic – it shows preparation and offers peace of mind, demonstrating a maturity to care for others, as well as yourself!

At Adrenalin we offer the PADI Rescue Diver course which teaches divers how to be the ultimate buddy by learning the correct ways to respond to various scenarios including unconscious and panicking divers, both on the surface and under the water.

Our EFR and ORCA Courses provide training for out of the water emergencies, including CPR, Providing Emergency Oxygen and First Aid.

Rescue Diving

“Challenging” and “rewarding” are two words used often to describe the Rescue Diver course. They are also words used often by those who have experienced a real life rescue scenario! This course expands on how to prevent problems, and teaches you how to manage them if they occur, giving you the practical knowledge and experience to respond in real time, which could make that all-important difference for a buddy or diver in trouble.

The fun part about this course is rising to challenges and mastering them.
Most divers find this course demanding, fun and satisfying, and upon completion we often hear that it is the best course they have ever taken!

Your focus will start to turn from yourself and your needs, to the safety and needs of your diving companions. Learn how to be the the ultimate selfless buddy!

The Rescue Diver certification is also often the minimum certification needed for joining various Diving Registers, including that at James Cook University.

EFR and ORCA First Aid Courses

Being able to provide emergency help to a person in need is always a valuable skill, whether or not you are in water! Our EFR and ORCA courses teach skills that can be applied to both! Some of these courses are even required to be able to work in the Dive and Marine industries both in Queensland and across the world (an up to date EFR course taken within the last 12 months is a mandatory prerequisite to becoming a PADI Divemaster!)
